Madie Davis, Registered Dental Hygienist
As a dental hygienist, my job entails working
closely with dentists to help patients maintain good oral hygiene.
My clinical responsibilities entail:
Teeth cleaning: Removing plaque, tartar (calculus), and stains from teeth using hand tools or ultrasonic devices.
Examinations: Performing initial oral health assessments and charting
conditions of teeth and gums.
X-rays: Taking and developing dental radiographs to help diagnose oral health issues.
Preventive treatments: Applying sealants and fluoride to help protect teeth.
Periodontal care: Treating and monitoring patients with gum disease, including deep cleanings like scaling and root planning.
My educational responsibilities entail: Teaching proper brushing and flossing techniques.
Advising on diet and lifestyle habits that affect oral health.
Discussing the importance of regular dental visits.
Explaining treatment options and home care after dental procedures.
I graduated from Southeastern Technical College in May 2023. I began working as a Hygienist in October 2023. I have an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene and I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene at East Tennessee University.
My favorite part of my job is I love knowing that I’m helping people feel confident in their smiles and teaching them how to prevent serious health problems. I also love being the person who empowers patients to take control of their oral health.
I love working for Dr. Nolan because he is sincere in everything he does. He genuinely cares about a patient's needs and wants to restore their smile. Dr. Nolan is down to earth, understanding, and cares about his employees. He builds friendships and doesn’t treat us like we just work for him. I enjoy working alongside my co-workers because we all have the same goal, doing what’s best for the patient and making sure Dr. Nolan is successful in his business, all while having fun when we’re working.
I am recently engaged. I am getting married in
October 2026. My fiancé, Gage, and I raise his 8 year old child, Bentley, together and our 3 dogs, Kash, Stella, and Rugar. In my free time away from work I love to fish, hunt, garden, and go to the lake with Gage and Bentley.
We recently put Bentley in baseball, so we also spend a lot of time dedicating our time to the baseball field.
